Pro tools wont recognise a plugin (Amplitube)

Hi, i have recently installed amplitube 2 on computer and for some reason it does not appear in the plugin list in pro tools. i have checked pro tolls plugin folder and it does have the relevant files there and other programs (audacity) recognise it. Any help? Darrryl

What version of PT? The most likely reason would be that your plug in is outdated and needs to be updated.

im not sure, it was a recent purchase. I have tried checking for updates and it says it cant connect to digidesign.com

if you are using PT essentials, it's my understanding that you cannot use 3rd party plugins with Essentials or SE.
