I am so excited. Having had all the carpets up and the dash apart in earlier days and had my system pressure tested I had ruled out matrix leak in the 940 causing the increasing loss of coolant which had gotten really bad. Have been puzzled as to why head gasket hydrocarbon test showed up negative which also means head is not cracked (cracked head one diesel specialists diagnosis). Have been puzzled why the car starts so well in cold weather if it is low compression (low compression another diesel specialist diagnosis) Have just taken my plastic mud trays out of the 940 to put in the 760 before the 940 is stripped and scrapped and the carpet drivers side is absolutely soaked in coolant!! So my head gasket is fine and probably my head not cracked so I reakon all the white smoke and lack of power is the diesel pump and I have a spare, failing that it is the fuel supply to the pump (which might explain excellent miles per gallon always for such a poorly engine?) which can be sorted as can the heater matrix So it is possible I am going to end up with two cars!! Fingers crossed! Then which one would I keep? Lol
