Pro Tools 8 with Ozone 4

MessageAuthor

I just recently switch to Pro-Tools 8.0.3 from Sonar 8 and I've been trying to use Ozone 4. But every time I put Ozone 4 as a plug-in, the track starts to lag...in other words, the vocal melody (assuming I plug it in the vocal track) starts to be behind the beat. This never happened to me when I used Sonar 8 and I would be using 12-15 Ozone 4 at the same time. So if anyone uses Ozone 4 on pro-tools, please let me know how (if) you make it work. Also, for more information...I am using an Mbox Mini on a 27inch iMac that has four gigs of ddr3 ram, 1tb of hard drive, and a duo core processor. Thanks a lot, Jorge Davila

Ok... here it is.... drum roll..... Pro Tools LE or M Powered does not have automatic delay compensation. Ozone 4 adds quite a bit of latency. Do a quick search for ADC or PDC here, and you can join in the shouting. Al

You should really use the Ozone alone after you have mixed every thing. I think it's more of a mastering tool than a plug in. Its a cpu hog big time. I could be wrong. Disk

SET UP > PLAYBACK ENGINE Use one fewer processors than are in your computer. I have two so I set it to one.

even with -1 processors, Ozone's latency is huge
